Henry Waxman, a known opponent of RKBA, is retiring at the end of this Congressional Session, instead of going for his 21st term. I’m not expecting much change because of how Congressional districts are laid out (not just Cali, but pretty much everywhere.
This guy has been in Congress for forty years. I’m not usually a supporter of term limits, but there are a few that give me pause. An example on the other side of the aisle was the recently deceased Bill Young from just across the bay. He was also a forty-year congressional veteran. What’s the problem? Little turn over in a body that is supposed to be making laws over a rapidly changing and complex society.
Personally, I’d rather rescind the 435 limit and have delegation based on a per person basis. Say one per every 50,000 residents.
